After the pitbike exhaust muffler arrived I gave it to LaLaLauren311 as a gift. She had no idea what it was and wasn’t sure if even to be excited or not, haha! Sunday morning before she got out of bed I quickly mounted the can on her bike and got it ready for her to go. We surprised her with it later when she went to the grocery store. Its nice to see that the exhaust can weighs in at only 2lbs, versus the old part coming in at about 20lbs. On such a small bike that is a huge difference! It may be just a wee bit noisy now, as scooters tend to hold a constant RPM when riding so the exhaust roars the same note all the time. This could become a bit of a drone on the ears. We’ll see if she or I get tired of it, and if so I’ll fashion a plug to go in the end of it to reduce the sound just a bit. History/Summary: You may notice that I like cheap parts, case in point here I am trying to find an inexpensive exhaust for an Aprilia Sport City One 125 scooter. An Akrapovic slip-on retails around 0, and other complete systems up to 0!!!! I just can’t justify spending that much on a 00 (new cost) bike! So I’ll pass and find a ebay pit-bike exhaust can that will fit. Even if the Chinese-made part explodes, at each 10 of them will have to explode before I’d match the cost of a name-branded exhaust muffler. The old muffler weighs just a hair under 20lbs, which is about 7% of the weight of this bike at 278lbs. There will be a significant weight-savings when switching to …

@DuckmanCycles LOL yea a fuckin’ beast
@bonzo9303204406 You’d hope so, but most motorists are completely oblivious idiots.
@fordf350sweet Yeah, I couldn’t believe it myself, lol
now that’s a SPORT city … no chance someone not to pay attention
holy frig man sound nice :O
@h2woda Sounds a bit obnoxious without them actually. That constant drone is a little hard on my ears.
sounds a bit stupid without gears ;p
@Blackdavid2011 Its a 4 stroker, single cylinder thumper. Sounds aggressive, eh? LoL!
@Blackdavid2011 4 stroke all the way
i’m shamed,but it’s a 2t or a 4t? sounds like a 4t,but not sure..
@DuckmanCycles you got that right. Keep up the good video’s man!!!!!
@bakirkwold Haha, yeah! Thanks!
@Jeffreyrno Yeah, I didn’t expect that either. Its no Vtwin roar, but it sure sounds good!
@rider666dale Hahahaha! Yeah, its a loud one!
wow! That really sounds nice!
jesus i didnt expect that, she sounds good man!!!
man i live in ohio and the cops would have pulled me over as soon as i got to town lol
@jlcyamaha Thats a good idea! I’ll look into that. I think the inner diameter is about 25mm to 28mm or somewhere around there. Shouldn’t be too hard to fit *something* in there to cut the noise a little.
@DuckmanCycles yes i was!
i think you can buy spark arrestor inserts for those that will take the sound down to 94 db.im sure you could mod those to take it further down without sacraficing much power. would still be a gain over the stock mufler im sure.
@cj15941 Well the thing went 63mph (indicated) with both of us on it. It also takes off faster than traffic does from a stoplight, so you’re not in their way, either. Lots can be adjusted still as we haven’t played with it at all. Even a 50cc bike can be made to take off fast and jump the line.
How in the world does a 125 4-poke make a good scooter?! It would either have to have horrible pick-up to be able to cruise at a decent speed without blowing the motor, or it would go extremely slow
@gpzDave Yeah, for some reason its even more obvious on camera, I think the camera is hyper sensitive to that frequency, haha!
thank god there is no noise restriction in sweden! or… now when i think of it, i think it is 120db. and that is what. equivalent to a jas gripen starting up next to you?
anyways, when you have your helmet on, you won’t notice the loud droned pitch, as when you drive without =)
